New start

It has to be your day today because it has been a week since I last blog. Hmmm… I am beginning to enjoy the feeling of being captured by the flash light of the camera lately. I thought of sharing with you one photo taken at my Grandmother’s 81st birthday anniversary which was held successfully last Sunday. It was certainly a great day for all of us (children and grandchildren). The lady beside me is my sister who is now doing her Bachelor in Banking and Finance in Sabah.

Alright, I am happily enjoying my holiday in my hometown Kuching. One week has passed and I am doing fine. Let me tell you what I missed most: I miss my buddies who are in Skudai and of course my broadband connection. I think I am a weird person, when I am studying in Skudai I missed my family badly but now that I am with my family I missed my friends back there. What’s wrong with me… :)

What’s up with today? I am actually observing my fasting and abstinence today in conjunction with Ash Wednesday. Tomorrow marks the start of the Lent season, a period of 40 days for penance and reflection. Too bad Chinese New Year get into the way, nonetheless I should refrain myself from indulging myself with those tasty food and delicacies this new year. I will still eat but not to the point of eating excessively like I used to when I was a kid/teenager. Haha!

Oh ya. Refrigerator! My parents bought a new Hitachi refrigerator with a capacity of 700liters. It’s silver in colour and it’s huge! Our old refrigerator has reached the end of its life after serving us for 17 years. Our new Hitachi refrigerator now stands proudly in our kitchen.

This very new year, I want to start anew. I want to put my 200% effort in whatever things I do, especially in my research and writing, my involvement in my local parish, workout for a fit body, and treating relationship with my friends and family with a more loving heart.

I am looking forward for the family reunion tomorrow. It would be good to gather with my relatives again. Gong Xi Fa Cai!
