Get up, dress up, speak up, show up

[feeling | motivated]

I remember my English teacher once said you have to attract those reading your composition with appetizer. My mum, who taught English before she retired, told me that. Writing composition was really a pain in the arsse but not when you start with appetizers.

First impression counts. Your every move and language determines whether you will be respected or thrown out of the window by those observing you.

Always show your manners and be courteous. There’s nothing more important than being polite. You don’t need to wear expensive clothing to impress others, all you need is your own style.

You have to put on your best smile when entertaining your friends or guests. Don’t make yourself look silly with those bitter face, it won’t do you any good.

If you think a smile is not enough, then laugh. Tell the world how happy you are.

If you are feeling happy, sing. If you are sad, sing. If you don’t feel like singing, listen to music then.

Be natural. You are at your best.

Remember to celebrate your own success and someone else’s success. Such good things are to be shared and cherished together. Most of all, give thanks with a grateful heart.

Show your affection towards your loved ones. A bouquet of flower, a simple “I love you”, a warm hug or a small gift may brighten up someone’s gloomy days.

Sometimes, don’t just be an adult, be a kid! Try to be funny! You are never too old for that!

Last of all, record down all those beautiful memories in words. You’ll be glad you did that, for when you are old you know you were young once and never regretted spending your youth unwisely.

One day… You will have your own family. Remember that your children are not born to succeed in academic only, they are to be taught about many aspects of life. Teach them about faith in God, manners, friendship, and a lot more which you have acquired along your journey. Your kids will appreciate them.

God, thanks for giving me a nice dad and mum, sisters, uncles and aunties and plentiful of cousins.

Not a response to this post anyway. It is about the post on 4th of April.
From a coastal engineering point of view, a beach is a form of shoreline. So by saying waves hitting on the shoreline along the beach is somewhat not right in my opinion. Occupational sickness, ops!

Thanks. Noted.

writing should be a representation of oneself …makes it soulful.

Big family… Chinese New Year is always merry!

Thanks Paolo. Being soulful in my writing is what I try to do. My feelings and my emotions are clearly portrayed in my writings.

Picture No. 9 .. the lady one the right most .. she went to Kenyalang Holy Trinity Church, right?

Dr. Riekeyword: Mabuhay! My first visitor from the Philippines. Thanks for the compliments.

Didi: No no… Which father do you mean (a priest or a husband)? Haha. I’m not a father yet la! Girlfriend pun tak ada lagi… Looking at Picture No.9, I have no idea who she is. There are hundreds of guests that day and I can’t remember all of them. I have to check with my mum or my grandma first.

melbie: Would you like to recommend some for me? Haha.. Shouldn’t I be the one who mingle around with ladies instead of ladies mingle around with me? Haha… I’m enjoying my weekend.

#16 melbieNo Gravatar on 04.12.08 at 7:17 pm

hahaha nowadays it doesn’t make much difference whether you are the one that should mingle with the ladies or the other way round ;)
no… I’m not good with recommendation when it comes to romantic partners! Haha
