Back to the ground

[feeling | refreshed]

You know… The five days of me disappearing had give ample time to catch up with the things I wanted to do but never had the time for them. It appears that I come back much earlier than I expected, original time frame was one week or two.

I left it to your imagination when I said I will be going for a holiday. Interestingly someone thought that I will be physically away for a holiday in a nice place or perhaps indulging in nice food. It turns out that I was all the way staying at the same place. The only difference is that I enjoy the time being alone but not up to the point of being socially excluded.

During these few days of partial recluse from the online world, particularly blogging, I have a great deal of time for myself. I went to the farm to weed the grass with UncleSeng and how I love to be connected with the nature and the sun. Talking about nice food, what I meant is the home cook food cooked by my MingFeng’s mom. That’s the time I can escape from food with ajinamoto.

My soul was further filled with peace after I attended a prayer meeting last night. It was the Adoration of the Eucharist (Holy Hour). Inner peace is what I felt after the session, but I won’t be talking much about my experience here as  I would need to write a long piece of explanation to those non-Catholics. Today I even watched Pope Benedict XVI celebrating a mass at National Stadium, Washington D.C in his apostolic visit to the United States via EWTN. How touching…

Finally, my prayer has been answered. My potential supplier has sent me an email requesting me to prepare a proposal so that they will be able to consider sponsoring me the material I needed for my research. I guess I better spend the next few days preparing the proposal so that I can have my supervisor to go through before I send them to the supplier.

Oh ya… I am going to attend a one day short course on Finite Element Method for Engineering Applications tomorrow. Going to have a lunch with a group of young leaders on this Sunday to share with them my experience. I look forward to my weekends. Peace!

Side talk: My parish priest, Father Paul, asked me why I wear green all the time. Oopss. It seems like my fetish for green has been discovered.
