As I was going home after lunch, well today we have extra long hours for lunch because it is Friday, I listened to this song “You gotta be” by one of my favourite artistes, Desiree. Right after the song, “Something right” by Westlife was played. How I love MixFM when they are such a loving radio station.
Never thought that I will be so inspired… to do something right. These were the few words from Westlife. They may be a boy band, though I do not really like boy bands but their lyrics just strike me to my heart
Ground’s Blogging Tips
I shall now divert to a different topic, well it’s about some blogging ethic/principles which I stand by to whenever I pen down my thoughts or comments. If you are looking for tips to earn money, get a higher PR, get famous, choosing theme and layout or finding a good topic to blog, you are not going to expect them here.
What I would like to do is to share with you some generic skills in blogging. There are a lot of technical tips out there for novice bloggers but not very much about the ‘artistic’ aspect of blogging. I shall share my views on the nontechnical aspect of blogging. Feel free to debunk my views if you think they are not applicable.
You gotta be bad
I am not saying that you have to have undesirable or negative qualities. Think of bad as something naughty or nasty or mischievous.
You gotta be bold
You have to write fearlessly and daringly using clear and distinct paragraphs of selected words or expression. Be sure and be confident with your own style.
You gotta be wiser
You gain wisdom and knowledge each day. You learn from others as you observe them carefully. Read books and news to keep abreast of the latest developments.
You gotta be stronger
A foundation has to be strong for buildings to remain there for a long time. It applies to blogging as well. You have to build your foundation with good posts, loyal readers and network of bloggers.
You gotta be cool
Most girls prefer guys to be cool, if not all. Your readers would want to see you as a cool person as well. Don’t let them be disappointed or their good impression towards you shattered.
You gotta be calm
Always speak or write in a calm manner although you may be put in a harsh situation. Be steady and never lose temper by making remarks which you will regret them one day.
You gotta stay together
The wonderful thing about blogging is to stay together and getting to link up with a big network of people (bloggers especially).
All I know love will save the day
Love one and another. Care for one another. Show concern to your fellow bloggers/readers. That’s it!
I think this should be it, something which will let others start their own blog. Just as Desiree’s “You gotta be” inspired me, so shall I provide you some inspiration about the thoughts of a new blogger.
I better sign off now as I will be spending my weekends for a retreat for Sunday School teachers. I did not tell anyone of you that I have been a Sunday School teacher because I was not ready to let you know at that moment. I have been teaching children for four months now.
Still not sure what kind of retreat to be expected but I am pretty sure that they will keep me away from my mobile phone which I use to tweet! and shout!. I hope I will get over with it. Will be back after the weekend.
