I had a great laugh today. I laughed at my craziness. It is in this Narcissism and self-admiration habit which made my day!
I would like to share with you two things: narcissism and feed subscription! In brief, Narcissism describes the trait of excessive self-love, based on self-image or ego. The term is derived from the Greek myth of Narcissus.
According to a myth there once lived a handsome Greek youth named Narcissus, who rejected the desperate advances of the nymph Echo. As punishment, he was doomed to fall in love with his own reflection in a pool of water. Unable to consummate his love, Narcissus pined away and changed into the flower that bears his name, the narcissus. Okay, let me show you the “handsome” flower.
As you already know, a few friends and I were gunned down with the recent unfortunate incident which kept us spiralling and struggling to rebuild our own site. Jeremy and UncleSeng are now back with more ummph. Now that they are back I felt happy for them. Unlike me, no way they could retrieve back all their previous posts.
Why?
Because I like myself so much that I subscribed to my own feeds while they did not. As simple as that! I have to thanks GoogleReader for introducing such a wonderful application - FEED. Now, I would like to invite you to subscribe to my feed because danielliew.com is getting better! So, don’t you miss the good stuffs.
Just a small piece of advice from someone who once lost all his database: apart from backing up your database, remember to subscribe to your own feed as well. Cheers!

I use Bloglines, even subscribe to journals! Makes my life a lot easier, than having to search Web of Science, Science Direct, Scopus, ProQuest etc everyday. ;p
I won’t call it ego but high self-esteem. U cant expect people to like u if u dont like urself. ‘To love urself is the greatest love of all.’ …..But me goondu, dunno wat u all talking about? If it happens to me, all will be lost 4ever!
Well, I have to learn from you and subscribe to my own feed. All the while I’m just using Email subscription. Now this is the first time I’m using Google Reader… LOL…
