Brother Alvin texted me this evening. I grabbed my phone and read the text and it read “Daniel, just to inform you that the Jesuit vocation camp in Singapore has been brought forward to Aug 16, 2pm to Aug 17, 3pm at Church of St Igantius. SMS me for more details if you like. God bless.”
Previously I expressed my interest to attend the vocation camp but the date clashes with my parish youth camp, I had to choose to remain with my youth during this critical period. How wonderful is the Lord to have this vocation camp brought forward.
If you are wondering who or what a Jesuit is, the following sums it all.

I just can’t wait to see what’s in store for me. Brother Alvin even offered to bring me to the door of the Church of St Ignatius, you know being a Singapore-nerd I’ve no idea how to roam in the Lion city. Whether I am called or not I want to give it a try. Pray that the Lord give me a clearer sign of what my life ahead will be. Keep praying. Never cease praying.

Hey, its wonderful that you’re giving priesthood a try. My CSS campus priest and friend is a Jesuit and lead a very interesting and happy life. Pope John Paul II had always said “Do not be afraid”, and he said that in particular for young people who has calling or considers living a religious life. He was so inspirational and his words always were so comforting. Wow, you watched his documentary 3 times!! I watched it once.
His life story is incredible eh? I really admire him a lot. He is what a Catholic should aspire to be. Faithful, pious, kind. But he was also blessed with the gift of charisma. Daniel, with God’s graces and guidance, hope you’ll paint a clearer picture of your life, and, you’ll be a good, awesome leader one day. God Bless!
drumstick,
Hi! Yeah, let’s just say that there’s no harm to look at the three vocations (marriage, priesthood, single). Thank you for your well wishes, I appreciate them so much especially on the “good, awesome leader”.
