Evolution, yeah, some kind

I’m already in holiday mood, raya is just around the corner. There is this thought which is bugging me of late. I sense that there is this slight alteration of my manners. Contrary to what I used to be (good) in the past, I am more of a blast and bummer lately.

I find satisfaction in making jokes of others or simply kicking them around. I feel so good for being sarcastic. My figure of speech turns somewhat hostile. Even the angelic smile now turns hyena.

Something is happening but I don’t know what.

I guess I am sensing pheromone around me. Pheromone is defined as a chemical substance secreted externally by some animals that influences the physiology or behaviour of other animals of the same species. For heaven’s sake, do not tell me to explain what is happening. I don’t even know where this thing comes from or who is emitting it, but I can sense it.

Just so if you note, I no longer am the blog hopping or daily blog dropping-by kind of neighbour. People don’t get to see me often at blogs I used to visit back then. It has been weeks since I visit most blogs listed at my favourite list.

Being able to read what others share used to be a favourite thing in the past, but I am not sure if it is still now. The shit with blogging is that once you get out of touch with your close neighbours, people then tend to forget about you. And as time goes by, you find yourself locked up in someone’s treasure box. It is hard to get connected unless you yourself be the initiator.

This happens to friendship as well. When you are too busy to get in touch with your friends, the moment you start saying to yourself “Oh, I am so busy to text or call them” I can assure you that the gap is getting bigger and bigger.

Blogging, as much as friendship, needs to be showered with countinuous flow of spring water (flow of communication). This raya holiday, I will try to spend some time making my presence felt at those long visited blogs. =)

Jay Chou is going to release his new album next month. Jon has managed to get me into buying his original album. At first I thought of just buying his conventional type of album which is priced around 40 bucks. But then now I am going for the album clad in metal box plus a magic cube collectible which will cost around 90 bucks.

DiGi’s brand new Prepaid I Like

Shoot! I guess I should have just stayed as a prepaid user instead of converting to postpaid. DiGi has just roll out with the all new Prepaid I Like TM that offers a super duper cheap deal of 36sen/min call, 10sen/sms, and 25sen/mms.

On top of the cheap rates, now they have this Super Talk, Super SMS, Super FnF and Super Long Life plans to choose from. I’m lazy to do a review, so in the mean time why don’t you click the below buttons to find out more?

Enjoy the lowest call of 15 sen/min to 11 DiGi numbers and 4 numbers on other networks.

Enjoy FREE SMS (DiGi-to-DiGi) after daily SMS usage of 50 sen.

The more you use each month, the lower your calls rates. 25 sen/min calls after RM100 monthly usage. FREE calls & SMS (DiGi-to-DiGi) after RM200 monthly usage.

Enjoy a 1-year validity period for only RM30!

Not only that they even dig the shit out of their competitors by scrutinising and comparing the charge rate. You’re my man! That being said, I hope that DiGi will give postpaid subscribers more benefits and also the long awaited 3G.

Ciao! Good night!

Food for thought

When it comes to eating good food, Uncle Seng and his partner (Aunty Seng) knows better than anyone of us. You see, Uncle Seng originates from Penang, while Aunty Seng from Kuala Lumpur, on the other hand, I hail from Kuching. The best part is whenever we go out to eat, we will bring in our very own taste in judging the food that we ordered. This is what happen when the North, Central and East meet at South.

I am not the kind of person who is good at reviewing food nor writing any food post. This is just not so me if you know me well. I am a deep thinking type of person, hence the ‘boring’ posts all these while. Yet, at some point of time, when I feel good I write about food!

I feel good, I know that I would … (remember the song on NTV7?)

This cafe which we visited was located at Nusa Bestari, about 15 minutes drive from Taman Universiti. Island Red Cafe is its name. Seriously I hold nothing about the name, but the logo? It just reminds me of Starbucks.

Don’t you see the resemblance? They are both round. Starbucks has a celebrity there while the cafe claims that it is a celebrity cafe.

The food was served hot and considerably fast. This is hor fun or what others call it kuey tiaw. Just by looking at the hor fun served with sliced chicken meat and fish balls makes me hungry. Uncle Seng (in blue) has started operation.

The other day, we tried out hor fun served with abalone at Tun Aminah. That shop sells a great big bowl of soup with all sorts of meat inside, they serve it with prawns, pork, chicken and best of all abalone.

Back to the cafe. I tried the chicken curry served with bread. The good thing about curry is that it is so loved by people from all walks of life - kids, teens, adults and elders like it hot and spicy!

The bread was simply awesome. It’s soft and rich in texture. When dipped with curry, the bread was like a sponge, absorbing the creamy curry into it. When I put into my mouth, wow! The plate beside the bread is the loh bak. It’s supposed to be a Penang dish.

Aunty Seng ordered for the usual curry chicken rice. I still think that curry serve with bread is more appealing.

For me, a meal has to be sealed with a cup of coffee or perhaps a glass of juice. A cup of white coffee is always satisfying, especially at night. =)

The best thing is the food is priced at an affordable range. Coupled with good service and there’s even several computers to get one accessible to the Internet, I would say I am making a second visit soon.

Do you know why the food and service are good? This is all because OldTown Kopitiam is just a few shops next to them. Competition ROCKS!

Here’s some food for thought for everyone.

Look for the best in everybody - Randy Pausch

Yesterday, I was such a bastard that I grew seemingly pissed of with friends of mine. It is not because of I am mad but because I am so tired of them treating me like a driver. Instead of me arranging for them, they did the arrangement for me and I am always the last to know about their so-called clever arrangement.

I know I am a bastard but I do not deserve to be treated as such. When I said I offered to give you people a ride, I mean it and I will. Don’t make plans for me, I know how to make one. After a good night sleep, I am okay now.

Okay, today I promise to look for the best in everybody and not the thorn in everybody. Sometimes I wonder was it the thorn in someone or was it thorn in my eyes. I wonder…
