Alor Star at night

Sorry to say, I am enjoying the very best view of Alor Star from my hotel room. Staying at the 14th floor, this is probably one of the highest building one can find in Alor Star. Dinner at Pekan Rabu was just nice and the price reasonable.

Canon SX110 IS : 6 mm : F/4 : 8 sec : ISO-100

My first try with "Night Scene" and "Night Portrait" modes did not go well. I later set my camera to "Manual" mode with a shutter speed of 8 seconds and ISO 100. The shot turned out to be quite good considering my Kanoon's limitation.

I am down with slight diarrhoea since this morning. Took two sachets of Pil Chi Kit, yet there is still no sign of recovery, hopefully after a good night sleep my naughty stomach will be all right.

This is a short update. The not-so-cooperative tummy makes my whole body weak. Heading to bed is one and only viable choice for now.

The many faces of Mount Kinabalu

Presenting you the many faces of Mount Kinabalu. Some taken from afar, some taken up close. Some part of it covered, some of it in full glory. No matter how it may look like, despite its many faces, it is still the same mountain we know.

Mother nature go nom nom nom nom

Typhoon Ketsana romped the Philippines. Tsunami hit the pacific island of Samoa. Earthquake measuring 7.9 on the Richter scale just hit Sumatra, Indonesia. These days mother nature is increasing its activities in "eating" humans, animals and crops. All these happened in the last week of September.

Nom nom nom nom...

Anyway, back to my story. The tremors could be felt as far up as Penang. Here in Klang Valley, particularly KL, friends of mine reported that they felt and experienced the tremor while still working in their offices. Thank God I totally missed experiencing the earthquake tremor. I was only slightly taken aback when I woke up just to read the news that people all around KL had just felt the tremor.

Here's the latest news from Associated Press.
