When I sincerely asked you for your questions I know that I have to respond to them eventually. It took me some time to think of how to respond, I took two hours off my busy schedule to sit in front of my lappie.
Questions lead to more questions. In my case, I will stop with the responds provided and will not entertain to more questions. There’s no right or wrong on responding to questions, that being said, I did not use the word “answer” at all.
1. Do you have regrets for the things you did and for the things you didn’t do, and what are they?
Drumsticks
I’d like to quote Rita Mero saying “I have no regrets in my life. I think that everything happens to you for a reason. The hard times that you go through build character, making you a much stronger person.”
I did actually wonder why I am taking my Masters instead of going out to see the world. It’s ironic; a part of me is telling me to continue my Masters while a part of me is convincing me to work. The former part has a stronger voice so I followed my heart back then.
2. Do you think you will be an egoistic man in the future?
- c H i E n –
I looked for the word “egoistic” from the dictionary; it says this “limited to or caring only about yourself and your own needs”. We can say that someone who is egoistic is also self-centred. Not only are men egoistic, women as well, in fact all humans are. What is difference is the level of egoistic inside us.
English Victorian novelist, Mary Ann Evans said this, “It is possible to have a strong self-love without any self-satisfaction, rather with a self-discontent which is the more intense because one’s own little core of egoistic sensibility is a supreme care.”
On whether will I be an egoistic man in the future, I hope my upbringing will remind me that love is the only rational act in this world. I enjoy being in the lime-light or centre of attraction, but that doesn’t mean that I stand proud. What I enjoy is the moment and people, not so much of a status or power I have.
3. What do you think about me?
Doreen
Though this question has nothing much to do about me, but I am happy enough to respond to your question. I am glad that you are Vincent’s girl friend though it was somewhat unexpected. What do I think of you? A rather hard-headed person who easily likes to defend yourself although sometimes in normal conversation you do not have to.
I believe you have changed in these three years of education in the university, this is something good. Some say that you are an “iron” lady, I do not know if you think that way. I believe you have your softer side as well; it’s just that you do not let it be expressed. Learn to be less defensive and let your softer side shines. That’s some thoughts from a friend.
4. Are you rich?
Suituapui
My mother was a tough, English teacher with nerves of a tigress. My dad was a technician who has profound interest in air-conditioner. That was a bit of my parents’ background. I grew up comfortably middle class in Kuching. Money was never an issue in our house, mostly because my parents never spend much on unnecessary items. We survived two economic crises, one in the 80’s and another one in the 90’s. Life was a bit hard back then where we have to cut down on our expenses.
On whether I am rich? In the future, perhaps it is a yes and no. I do not see richness in the sole form of money, but in personal development, knowledge, attitude, love and faith as well. Life is short, what is money if you do not enjoy your life?
5. If you will publish a book one day, what will it be all about?
Janette
I like reading books but I never consider myself a good writer. Given the opportunity to publish a book, I would like to have a book with the title “Serenity, Courage and Courage”. It’s going to be a compilation of the beautiful quotes from my readers and of course majority of it will be extracted from my blog post.
6. What is the type of girl that makes you tick and how many children do you plan to have in the future?
ColourfulWorld
I remember one friend of mine asked whether if I have any interest in girls, in a way, I think she is suggesting that I may be a gay. Funny it was. To be frank, I do not see girls as most guys do. I do not enjoy talking about whose boobs are bigger or who has the cutest look or whose legs are as huge as elephant’s. Being a rather passive guy, I think I like someone who is a little active.
A girl who respects her parents and elders is most likely to accept her husband parents. A girl who loves children is most likely to become a good mother. A girl who is wise in spending is very much a good financial manager for the family. A girl who does not bitch around is more likely a god-fearing and faithful wife. I do not like girls with “lala” look; my preference is those who dress decently but not to the type of “aunty” look. I need to bring her to attend functions, you know? If one day I find this woman, I am sure to marry her.
If I were to have my own children, I would give them total freedom to become who they want. I think three or four is enough, quality is more important than quantity.
7. Given four situations, all happening at the same time, which order would you attend to the following situations? 1. door bell ringing, 2. baby crying, 3. kettle boiling and 4. telephone ringing?
Clare
I will attend to the door bell first because I may not know who is looking for me. The baby can wait, it’s normal for a baby to cry, no big deal. I’d attend to the telephone (mobile or portable) then only will I turn off the gas while talking over the phone. Though I might respond in such a way, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it will always be in such sequence should this thing happen for a few times. Generally, I think I will attend the above situation in the order of 1, 2, 4 and 3.
I hope you guys like the new layout, it’s called CopyBlogger. I won’t change my layout anymore. I promise.
Here’s some bonus for Drumstick. See, I treat you so good!
8. Have you ever wished anyone dead before in your life?
Wishing someone dead can be treated as cursing, isn’t it so? I have not wished someone dead although I did wish he/she will suffer the consequences of their bad actions.
9.Whose blog other than Suituapui’s do you visit everyday without fail?
In fact, I read most people’s blog from the RSS feed. I only drop by one’s blog when I wanted to comment, if I do not feel like commenting I will just stop at my Google Reader screen. The fact that I did not show up at one’s blog doens’t mean that I did not visit, I just read your posts in a different medium.
