Jesus Christ, you are my life

This is the song I like most. I am still trying to memorize the Italian, Spanish and French part as well as figuring out what they mean. This is truly a song made in heaven.

Jesus Christ You Are My Life
Marco Frisina

English refrain:
Jesus Christ, you are my life,
alleluia, alleluia.
Jesus Christ, you are my life.
You are my life, alleluia.

Italian:
Tu sei via, sei veritá,
tu sei la nostra vita,
camminando insieme a te
vivrem o in te per sempre.

Spanish:
En el gozo caminaremos
trayendo tu evangelio;
testimonios de caridad,
hijos de Dios en el mundo.

French:
Tu nous rassembles dans l´unité
réunis dans ton grand amour,
devan toi dans la joie
nous chanterons ta gloire.

PS: If you would like to have this song in MP3 format, feel free to drop in your request (with email) in my comment box. Gratias Ago Tibi (thank you in Latin)!

When Catholics and Buddhists meet

Being active in Church, Sunday is always fulfilling, or in other word - busy. This week me made an initiative to make a visit to Buddhist Tzu Chi Merit Society Malaysia (Johor) which is just a few miles away from our Skudai Catholic Centre.

Upon arriving we were greeted with smiles, lots of smiles. I have to admit that they do smile, a lot. This visit was actually planned by our mastermind, Eddie a few months ago. Sadly, he had to leave us because he got a job somewhere in the Kuala Lumpur.

I took over the handling of the arrangement with the Tzu Chi society. After a few days of preparation (movie making) and all I know is that we are sitting in their hall.

And then after two hours, I was left amazed at their initiative and effort poured into Charity, Medicine, Education and Culture. Since I have been sitting in front of my computer writing a report of the visit in Mandarin, waiting to be published in Hai Sing Pao, I don't have the energy left to write in details the visit in English. Just wait for my article in the next few weeks.

Our group photo taken in front of Buddha. I should have bring the Crucifix along. Hehe.

Oops, I am supposed to wear green but instead I wore pink. This is a shot of me giving a 15 minutes sharing on Catholicism in Malaysia. Handsome or not?

At the end of the session, we were each given a bag of souvenir. Nah, not going to disclose what's inside. It's something special. Takut some organization out there jealous if they do not get something as good as we did. This bag is so useful, big enough to put my books and bible which I carry to Sunday School.

Just before we leave and say goodbye, here's something I found interesting - rubbish life. Without the Chinese translation, I would have thought that life is a rubbish. ==

Did you know the life span of the following rubbish?

Banana skin 2-5 weeks; negative film pots 20-30 years; newspaper 1-3 years; cigarette 1-5 years; leather 50 years; diapers 300-500 years; cotton stockings 1-6 years; aluminium cans 500 years; plastic bags 10-20 years; glass bottles 1000 years; wooden furniture 20 years above; and polyfoam 10000 years.

This blog is green. I support green! Look at how polyfoam (polystyrene) destroys the environment, I am determined to be green in my own little ways. Our beloved Mother Teresa put it this way, "Do not wait for leaders; do it alone, person to person."

So I bought a pair of screw-able chopsticks..

And also a container for me to 'tabao' food..

And that sums up our Sunday trip. Looking forward to have more visits as I believe interaction with others broaden our views.

Many thanks to Alvin for being our professional photographer in this visit, he takes great shots. The chopsticks and container was taken using my faithful Canon A400 though. For more information about Catholic, visit the Vatican. For more information about Tzu Chi, do visit their website.

天主教简介(马来西亚)

This is my first movie made using Windows Movie Maker. I spent three nights to finish this 6 minutes plus short presentation on Roman Catholic. For God's sake it is so hard to find relevant introduction to the Catholic Church especially in Chinese. Therefore, I hope with this brief video presentation Catholics (especially whose mother tongue is Mandarin) will find it useful.

天主教简介(马来西亚)
My youtube link

All those pictures used can be googled from the Internet (if you use the right keywords). The information was "extracted"  from this website - 天主教在简介. Music used: 上主是我的牧者 - 黄韵玲; Jesus Christ, You Are My Life - World Youth Day 2005.

Now.. I cannot divide myself into many portion, this explains why I was staying away from my blog/plurk/facebook for the past few days because I dedicated all my time working on this presentation. I am so gonna share this presentation with Tzu Chi this Sunday. We are making a trip to their Johor Bahru Branch. I hope this will give them an insight on the Catholic Church.

UPDATE Oct 22: After much advice from Fr Paul, Andrew and Raymond, I managed to refine my work. Posted to youtube.
